100% local processing — this file never leaves your device. Nothing is uploaded, and this page sends no file information anywhere.

Large files are processed in your browser’s memory. On a phone or a low-memory device, work with one large file at a time and keep the original until you have checked the result.

How to use it

Organize PDF Pages in a few steps

1

Add one PDF

Drop the document and every page is rendered locally as a thumbnail, in current order.

2

Tidy the pages

Drag pages into their new order, rotate sideways scans upright in 90° steps, and delete pages you do not need.

3

Export

A new PDF is built in the order shown — your original file stays untouched on your device.

Under the hood

How it works — and where its limits are

Page-level problems are the most common PDF annoyances: a scanner fed the sheets in the wrong order, one page came out sideways, a blank separator page rode along. The Organize tool is built for exactly that tidy-up pass. It renders every page to a small preview with pdf.js, so you work with what the pages actually look like instead of guessing from page numbers, and then rebuilds the document with pdf-lib in the order you arranged.

Reordering. Dragging a thumbnail moves the page to a new position; the labels under each thumbnail always show the new position and where the page came from (“New p.4 · was p.7”), so a long document stays auditable while you work. Nothing is written until you press Export — closing the tab abandons the edit session with your original file untouched.

Rotation. The rotate buttons add 90° at a time, in either direction, and the thumbnail previews the result. On export, your added rotation is combined with the rotation the page already had, and the sum is written as the page’s rotation in the new file. That matters for scans: a page that was stored sideways and displayed upright by a viewer flag gets corrected properly, rather than having two half-fixes fight each other. Rotation here is a page property, not a re-render — the page content itself is not rasterised or re-encoded, so text stays text.

Deleting. Deleting a thumbnail removes that page from the export list. It does not reach into your original file — the source on your device is never opened for writing — so a mistaken delete is recovered by simply loading the file again and starting the tidy-up over. If you delete every page, Export disables itself rather than producing an empty document.

Fidelity notes. Pages are moved with the same pdf-lib copy mechanism as the merge and split tools, so visible content is preserved exactly, while interactive form fields and the outline panel are not guaranteed to carry over. Rotation and order are the metadata this tool exists to fix; for anything deeper — editing text, redaction — you need a full PDF editor. And as everywhere on this site, the whole session is local: thumbnails are drawn in your browser, the export is assembled in your browser, and no file information is sent anywhere.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

No. Your original is only ever read. The tool builds a brand-new PDF in the order you arranged and offers it as a download; the source file on your device is untouched.
No re-rendering happens. Rotation is stored as a page property (in 90° steps). Your added rotation is combined with any rotation the page already had, and the total is written into the exported file, so viewers display the page upright while the content itself stays in its original, lossless form.
There is no undo button in this version — but because your original file is never modified, you can simply load it again and redo the tidy-up. Nothing is lost.
Each preview is a real render of its page, done locally by pdf.js, and pages are drawn one by one so the tab stays responsive. A long, scan-heavy document on a phone will take longer than a short text document on a desktop. The export itself is a fast object-level copy once the thumbnails are ready.
No. Rendering, reordering and exporting all happen in this browser tab. There is no upload and no reporting of file names, counts or sizes.
